I met Vilet when she started writing this memoir. I have watched her quiet soul struggle to bring up memories she would much rather forget. I’ve seen her weep while praying to find the exact words to tell her Truth, while not wanting to hurt anyone in the process. But, after all, this is a story about a brave women’s journey through hell and back.
A woman who has defeated the odds, time and again, by going to God for strength, direction, and, most of all, for hope. The lessons she learned along the way are revelations we all need to experience. As the neon of legalism faded, the true glow of Trust lit her path.
I applaud you, Vilet, for re-visiting open wounds. Only when we break open (and write it down) can wisdom shine through.

Violet’s journey as reflected in this book does tell the story of deliverance and liberation. She was and is determined to seek truth about herself and how relationships work both with others and God. This is a story about a woman, wife, mother, daughter who loves her family, God and now herself.

As I read, sometimes I would think… this is a great story, a great effort by a writer with tremendous insight. It’s like I forgot I was reading a book for a friend. This story is so powerful…but the best part of the story is the way Jesus continued to meet your deepest needs, as you learned to allow Him the freedom to do just that. You are so right…as you learn better you do better.
Each of us has made lots of mistakes in our life, but generally we do the best we can with our understanding at the time. (Your book really hit this point well.)
Yeah, we look backward and we see wrong choices that took us places we didn’t want to go, but we must realize we tried as we went…and that it was God’s grace that protected us even from our own choices.
I’m so proud of your work…but more so, I’m so proud of you finding closure and peace on so many of the hard issues of your life. God so desires for us to live in a state of peace…and joy…and love! Your book will bring these things to so many that reads and follows how Jesus was your strength throughout the darkest days. He will use this story for His glory!!
I thank you for trusting me to read along with you as you wrote about your deliverance. May God continue to give you wisdom concerning the completion process of this work.

Vilet’s Weaver’s Pathway to Deliverance is a vulnerable and insightful retelling of what for her was a long and painful journey. She overcame struggles that hopefully few of us will have to face. But within her story is a recurring theme that affects most believers — legalism. It is reflected in a form of Christianity bound by unwritten and often unbiblical rules and expectations that leave out the love and grace of Jesus. Through embracing the Lord’s grace, Vilet found the path to her true identity and purpose. Hopefully it will light the way for many others.

I believe she was a very strong wayward challenging child that sadly lost a loving guiding godly father at a young vulnerable age. Raised among 10 other children by a well-meaning but rigid authoritative mother with a strict demeanor, a mother that couldn’t control Vilet nor show love and guidance a lonely child desperately needed. A mother that held strong to her religious values and at times harshly instilled them into her children. However, Vilet remained feeling isolated, lonely, unloved and detached throughout young childhood. Later in her teens she had extremely troubling experience(s). In her marriage she became a lonely married woman deprived of love and understanding in an isolated 30 year marriage. She remained strong, loving and devoted to her 5 children. She is a survivor and has miraculously risen above long odds to free herself from past experiences and become an accomplished woman. An amazing, very intelligent and artistic woman as singer, writer, artist, chef.
In her struggles to heal herself she has gained the support and wonderful testimonials of many professionals as a thinker and writer. To read her new book, Pathway To Deliverance will keep you reading to the end pulling at your heart and shedding many tears. The book draws you in immediately and reads as she is intimately talking to her reader sharing her most inner feelings as a young girl up until now with them.
It took courage for Vilet to free herself of locked up torment to tell her story. She is free now to grow even more. Her book will help others who read it to have hope and overcome experiences in their lives. God Bless this woman and I wish her all the success and happiness one could possibly imagine. She has come such a long way.
Vilet Dye has brought me closer to God than I’ve ever been before. I believe in this woman. Give her a chance and read her book, “Pathway To Deliverance”. You will learn, be captivated and never forget it.

Vilet…your book gave me your info, and your soul came out in your writings.
I would like some mint in my salad, and to learn to live without the world in my sight. I have found that scriptures, as in prayer or just understanding, gives our path a light not known in the daily life. You are a beautiful sunrise, with answers upon a prayer, may the good lord watch over your children, and awaken you with words that must be written with your pen, love you my friend.
